I . The
first (non-sponsored) Austrian city games were designed and manufactured by
Perner Prod./Peri Spiele. However after their 4th
issue the design of the from then on called Wirtschafts DKT games
was done by Frey&Frey, since
2002 
,
from Graz with the aim to get part of the profit from sponsoring companies in
the city or in the Bundesland.
They are however, made by the inland games
manufacturer PPGmbH/Peri Spiele.
All editions are designed according to the same pattern, viz.:
 | Like the standard editions they are only available in a square box. |
| The game board is of solid cardboard, folded twice. |
| Each edition is in its typical own color: the moment the main color
of the lid is blue or green
the back side of the game board and the cover of the Rules-booklet are in
this color as well. |
| The centre of the board shows the same picture as on the lid and both spaces for the cards, however, no pictures of
cities belonging to the properties. |
| There is no rim wih the figures 1 to 40 along side 3
in order to count the number of rounds, as it is in some issues of Standard
Editions. |
| The Risiko and Bank cards are mostly replaced by an insurance
company and a bank. They are different for each edition and
bear the name of a sponsor. Their spaces on the board are next to the 2nd and 4th
corner. The number of cards is not always the same - it varies from 16 to
29. |
| All properties have numbers (from 2 to 40). However, there are
editions in which all properties have the same color, but later issues have
different colored groups of "streets". |
| Over Start you receive € 200,- like in the standard editions. |
| All property deeds
as well as the Risiko and Bank related cards are on sheets from
which they have to be separated before use. |
| 
The property deeds do not have the color bar as on the board's space. On
the other hand they are in the same color of the bar on both sides. In case
the properties are divided in color groups on the game board the main color
of the cards is the same as of the lid and the board's back. |
| The properties are no streets, stations or utilities but Unternehmen
(companies), who have to be founded (Gründung). |
| The properties to be built with red Quader
(square stone blocks) (Investments) and yellow
Gebäude (buildings) (Limited Companies) instead of houses and hotels.
Whereas the standard DKT editions have 32 houses and only 8 hotels
this is different with the City and Bundesländer editions. In the early
issues the Rules mention 8 Gebäude while 12 pieces are supplied. However,
from 2002 on the Rules also mention what is really supplied. |
| The Companies never form a group and can immediately be invested in
at a second stop of the owner. After 4 investments the company can be
changed into a Limited Comp.. |
| The"banker's tray" in the innerbox is of thin, black plastic with 10
holes, exactly the same as in the standard issues. |
| The money consists of 7 banknotes from the Trend issue in 2000 on always
in Euro. The denominations are as in the standard editions with the value printed in black on colored paper: 1

- 20 - 50
- 100
and 200. |
| The 6 plastic tokens are colored cylinders-with-a-ball-on-top, as those in the standard
sets. Wasn't the introduction of these Wirtschafts editions an
excellent opportunity to introduce nicer tokens like f.e. those funny
puppets of the pre-war Business edition? |

The dice are white with black pips. |
|
The Rules are both in the accompanying booklet as well as printed on the
bottom of the box.
Except for the Rules the booklet contains a page per company for its company
description also showing a.o. their internet sites that are sometimes even on
the game board spaces. |
Wirtschafts DKT games have been
published meanwhile of entire Austria (Österreich), each Bundesland and 2
regions (Oststeiermark and Bezirk Leibnitz).
II .
The other city games distributor is Winning Moves Deutschland GmbH/Hasbro
an American company by origine.

Vienna rather than off the state.
It was developped by Stomo Spiele/Perner Prod.GmbH.
Unfortunately I know nobody who owns this edition, reason why it is impossible
to compare the properties with those of the Winning Moves game and the very
early Business version f.e..
I would appreciate an owner of this edition could provide me with more details

The game:
The first Winning Moves city games in Europe were issued in Great Britain, later
followed by Germany, France, The Netherlands, Switserland and Austria.
They are all socalled "Authorized Opoly Games", i.a. they are
issued under the approval of and in cooperation with Hasbro. Like
with the
American city games a part of the profit have to come from the adds of local
companies and institutions mentioned on the spaces. The prices of the streets
and other properties are always the same as those of the standard edition.
All editions are, like in other countries, made according to the same
pattern, viz.:
| The colorfull lid always shows under the Monopoly bar a composition
of pictures of landmarks of the city, with in perspective mid-under the
first and last spaces at the left and the right of Start. |
| In the lower right corner are always 6 of 10 standard tokens shown, i.e.
car, boat, thimble, canon, wheelbarrow, and rider-on-horse. The other tokens
of the set are dog, hat, shoe and iron. |
| Mr. Monopoly (who was Rich Uncle Pennybags until 2000) with his red
bow tie is in the central O of Monopoly in the red
bar. |
| The back of all game boards is always purple. |
| The Banker's tray is a square tray of red
plastic on top of which the double folded game board is placed. One hole
contains a small, transparant case, presumably for the houses and
hotels. |
| A second, slightly higher tray of green plastic
has 7 slots to store the banknotes. |
| The money consists of banknotes of a local well-known bank. |
| Each set is supplied with a socalled property pouch.
According to Winning Moves it is to store the houses and hotels. |
| All well finished green
plastic houses and red
plastic hotels have overhanging roofs and an excentrically placed
chimney. |
| The dice are white and have black pips. |
| The last but one page of the Rules always show pictures of all properties of the edition
concerned. |
The
story at the bottom of this box says:
"Vienna is already for decades one of the most favourite choises of
international city tourism. Everything tingling one's spirit is found here:
nostalgic romance, splendour and beauty, precious ancient treasures, the true
music enjoyment and theatres with ambition - all that seasoned with culinairy
delicacies and the unmistakable Vienna charm among a fascinating landscape.
Still many places do remind of the splendour and glory of the former Emperor
city. However, modern Vienna unmistakable prevailed and gave the town a new
atmosphere, what is stressed by many new meeting points of the Vienna scene
