This version of Monopoly is where the properties were managed by Growth Equities Mutual Limited at the time of production (1990).

The Chance and Community Chest have been altered, however the tokens are the same at the time.

As well as the properties managed by GEM the board features several Australian land marks including the Sydney Opera House and Kirribilli House.

The four railroads are Sydney Central Station, Flinders Street Station, Brisbane Transit Centre and Perth Central Station respectively an the currency denominations are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 500 Australian Dollars.


It is thought thatGrowth Equities Mutual was formed in April 1982 as an unlisted property trust on 1 August 1991 and was spilt into three separate trusts: GEM Property Trust (later renamed GEM Retail Property Trust), GEM 580 George Street Trust (later renamed GEM Commercial Property Trust) and GEM Collins Street Trust.
