Pokemon
(United Kingdom)

Dimensions of the box: 26.8 x 40.1 x 5.3 cm

The world of Pokémon consists of Gym's that are in 21 cities, forests, isles and such. The board's midfield features this World almost completely.

The Gym's are managed by Trainers. Each Trainer has a preferance for a kind of Pokémon, allround intelligent creatures, that basically not allow to be possessed. The Pokémon are divided into 15 classes to be recognized by the logo before the price. On the game board is choosen for resp.: Boulder - Water - Electric - Grass - Psychic - Poison - Fire and Earth.

Instead of stations are 4 Poké-balls (with which you can catch Pokémon): Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball and Master Ball.

The Professor Oak and Trainer Battle cards replace the Chance and Community Chest cards. The Poké-money consists of 7 different banknotes. Strange enough the "banker's tray" only has 5 holes.

Instead of houses and hotels there are light blue square stackable Poké Centers and red rectangular non-stackable Poké Marts, all made of transparant plastic. The 6 tokens are well known characters of this world, viz. #04 Charmander, #25 Pikachu, #35 Clefairy, #150 Mewtwo, #01 Bulbasaur and #09 Blastoise. They are packed together in a pre-shaped holder of black plastic. The dice are white with black pips.

In order to better match this version of Monopoly with the Pokémon computer game additional rules have been added: Pokémon Power Doubles. In case of throwing doubles you may as usual choose for throwing once again or for a Pokémon Power, subject to the throw. The values are listed in a table in the Rules.
